Winter Date Ideas 2017 – Melbourne.

Posted on

Winter Dates are the best dates. The cold is a great excuse to be close without being creepy during a first date and better excuse to get closer without it bring too much PDA when you’ve dated for a while.

Melbourne provides a never-ending list of great dates, this winter Melbourne has loaded the great date list with a date for everyone.

Winter Date Ideas 2017

If you’re the type who takes a date to Section 8 then Whitehart Lane is for you. A short walk from Elizabeth St, Whitehart bar offers the container bar that you love without the just 18-year-olds who are taking up all the seats and talking about VCE.

Get a little hands on without getting handsy, Keep the respect people. Head to Otao Kitchen and join the dumpling party and make your own. Making food with someone can give you a great insight to who they are as a person, as they say; If you can’t handle me at my worst, leave the dumplings and never talk to me again. Side note: I have never heard anyone say that but I’m sure given the chance I would.

Show off your cultured side and head to Melbournes International Jazz Festival from June 1-11. Shows range from free shows in Federation Square to Intimate shows at $125. If there is one thing we know it’s that Jazz can bring people together. Check out the program at

Finally, my favourite winter date is the Night Markets. Keep warm by exploring the market and stuffing yourself with some of the best food and desert Melbourne has to offer. Running on Wednesdays from June 7, the night markets are a must do winter date idea.

Anything else happening in Melbourne that you would take someone on a date for? Let me know in the comments.

Great read. There is nothing like wandering the laneways of Melbourne – not sure how it would go on a date, could be fun 🙂

These are so cute! I used to love the night markets when I lived in melbs. Bad for my waist line though haha. I had to eat all the things! We still pop back quite often so I’ll keep these in mind!
