If you follow me on twitter you will have seen that I have changed my Loot Crate subscription from the regular Loot Crate to the J.K Rowlings Wizarding World Crate. I was getting a bit bored with the Loot Crate Subscription each month so I changed it. J.K Rowlings Wizarding World Crate is a totally Harry Potter themed subscription box and while this month did have a large “fantastic beasts” theme to it the box overall remained true to Harry Potter.
I think Bella Box bring out a botanical beauty themed box twice a year. Don’t get me wrong, botanical usually means cruelty-free and what’s not to love about that? The best part of this theme occurring a couple of times a year, is that there is so much botanical beauty out there. a lot of it gets overlooked and with this theme, we get to try it.
If there is one month it is appropriate to release a Horror themed crate it is October. Fitting in with the spooky theme of the month, Hello Halloween lover. The Horror crate surprised me with how they tied the contents in with the theme. Each month the Loot Crate box folds out to something associated with the theme; This months horror box provided a zombie mask for the last minute Halloween costume.
I know I missed last month’s boxes. The #ggblogchallenge took over this blog and I forgot to post them earlier in this month. The October Bella Box*** is themed spring racing and it is basically a survival kit for the spring racing carnival; kind of like the one I wrote here.
Remember when you used to post 4 times a day on Facebook? You tweeted at least 15 times a day and uploaded everything to social media? They were good times. Then people started complaining about how much you post and bit by bit you posted less and eventually you just went on to tag people in posts you agreed with or reminded you of them.
Now you go on social media and nothing is new or interesting and you’re lucky if you see 5 new posts a day. Dayre is here to take you back to posting whatever you want, when you want.
The spring racing carnival is the time of year where Melbourne is split into three groups. You have the people who love horse racing, the people who hate horse racing and then you have the people who love an excuse to dress up and show off their hats. I fall into the last category.
Each year one of my groups gets dressed up and heads off to Derby Day. In my opinion, Derby Day is the best day of the Spring Racing Carnival and it’s not because it is “Men’s Day”, the day overall is a lot more relaxed than the other days in the carnival.
