Being Thankful. #GGBlogChallenge

Thankful For Gracie

This world and life can be so busy that we often forget to be thankful for big and little things. Today’s post for the #GGBlogChallenge is about taking some time and being thankful.

I will always try and personally thank someone who helps me out but being thankful is also about the things you might have or do.  When I started this post I didn’t think I had much to be thankful for. I was so very wrong.

What I am Thankful For

I have been so lucky in my job I have a good role at a company I have been with for a long time. I am thankful that my hard work was recognised, that my job is only 45 minutes from home and that I have a great team.

Thankful For Gracie

My boyfriend Mark is someone I am super thankful for. He is no longer surprised when I injure myself or eat enough food for a small family, which takes some of the fun out of it. Mark is to calm for his own good but it tends to be good for me because I am a hot head and he keeps me grounded.  Gracie the border collie is  a bundle full of energy that wears me out everyday but she is actually the best. My dog is my choice over children and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Then there are the really little things. Chocolate, Coffee and shiny objects. My car, Evangeline, and my ability to hold still when doing winged eyeliner. I can’t forget my friends and those I call family. The amazing country I call home and my passport that make sure I remain grateful. Last of all I want to add the people who read this blog and motivate me with comments!

I’m sure there are way more things I am thankful however I would prefer to hear some of yours!

Yes, it’s true my mom always tell me that there are so many things to be grateful like a roof over our head and a warm bed to sleep at night and that we are all healthy. It’s honestly true, but sometimes it not that easy to be thankful at all times.

I am thankful for the gift of life–even when it can be trying at times. I am thankful for my family and friends. They have helped me to be strong–I don’t know how I could have coped with everything that life throws at me without them.

I am thankful for my job and colleagues. Both have been so understanding with life’s situations and have supported me to get where I am today.
I am thankful for my beautiful little girl, who has opened my mind up to so much more that life has to give and taught my what unconditional love truely is.
I am very thankful of my friends who have stuck by me through good times and bad. Who always go out of their way to help and be there when ever I need.
I am thankful for my family. Even though they are eccentric and difficult they helped develope me to be the person I am and will always be there.
And I am truely thankful of Brian who is my balance in life, my stability, the clean to my messy and more than any words can describe.

Life is full of things to be thankful of. Take the time to truely appreciate them and you will always be happy.
