Luma Eyeshadow Botanical Beauty

I think Bella Box bring out a botanical beauty themed box twice a year. Don’t get me wrong, botanical usually means cruelty-free and what’s not to love about that? The best part of this theme occurring a couple of times a year, is that there is so much botanical beauty out there. a lot of it gets overlooked and with this theme, we get to try it.

Botanical Beauty was the November 2016 theme for Bella Box.

The Botanical Beauty box had 6 samples in it, three of them made up a skin care trio. Products not used in this box were Oils of Life -The Body Shop and Coffee Bean Scrub -Blossom Kochhar. I didn’t have time to test all the products before this post needed to be up. My second reason for not trying then is that I have previously used both of these products.

Innisfree clay mask, serum and crime botanical beautyI did try the Innisfree Trio which was made up of Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, Orchid Enriched Cream and The Green Tea Seed Serum. If you have been reading this blog for a while you will know that I love a good clay mask. The Innisfree mask was nice and left my skin super soft after use.The mask dried really quickly which is good for a quick skin refresh, however it was drying on my hands! The orchid enriched creme smelled so good but it was very florally which set off my hayfever. I’m allergic to everything outside related at the moment. The green tea serum I used the next morning, it gave my skin a nice dewy look which is good as I was having a makeup free day.

Luma Fawn and Taupe Botanical BeautyI really want to talk about the Luma Fawn and Taupe Eyeshadow by Jess Hart. I swatched this product and wasn’t overly impressed. The pigment wasn’t sitting nicely on the swatch card. Although I loved the packaging (mirror on the go!) I wasn’t a fan of the swatch results. Decided to give it a go on the eyes and I found it to be a really silky product I could build upon. Then everything that could have gone wrong with my eyebrows did. I threw caution to the wind and used this little kit to do my brows. I WAS CONVERTED. I went from being non-impressed to loving this product in a matter of brush strokes. Although it is designed to be an eyeshadow pallet it will be living as part of my brow kit.

This Bella Box was decent, better than the past few which can only mean they’re on the way up. You can try Bella Box and save $5 on your first box by clicking the image below.
